ABSTRACT

Hemangiomas are the most common soft tissue tumors of childhood. The parietal and frontal bones are the most common locations. They are often found incidentally in radiological examinations carried out for other reasons. Most bone hemangiomas are cavernous, but rarely contain capillaries. Treatment modalities include complete surgical excision. Radiotherapy is an option for patients where surgery is not possible. Techniques of embolization and injection of intralesional steroids have also been tested.
