ABSTRACT: Reversible posterior encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is an entity characterized by clinical and radiological alterations due to imbalance in the regulation of cerebral blood vessels. The clinical presentation has been very varied. Generalized seizures are often the most common clinical manifestation of PRES, but patients also show signs of encephalopathy such as altered mental state, headache, nausea and vomiting. Visual disorders are also common, ranging from mild blurred vision to cortical amaurosis.
